[Close-Up] SZA Serves Melanin Magic In Dreamy Double Cover Spread For ‘FADER’
SZA shook the music industry last year with her five-time Grammy nominated album CTRL and now she is making her mark in the editorial front with a double cover spread in ‘FADER’ magazine. Photographed by Cara Stricker, the R&B songbird is a vision as she rocks a dewy beauty beat and her signature voluminous tresses for the glossy.

Styled by Shibon Kennedy, the starlet channels her inner supermodel (pun intended) to life as she poses it up in a slew of pieces from LAWRENCE & CHICO, The Blonds, Neith Nyer, and Maryam Nassir Zadeh. The beauty took to Instagram to share the two covers.
“can’t really explain what it’s like to go from “she’s not cover material ” to two covers in one day. can’t explain hearing “no” more times than my self esteem can handle but building resilience,” she posted. “This is for my girls that don’t feel like “cover material” . For my ppl a lil rough around the edges but still trying really hard. For anyone feeling like “No” diminishes ur ability to tap into the universe and be fucking great . STAY IN IT”
Inside the spread, the she gets candid about her self-improvement goals, her music and her Grammy’s snub:
“I’m not as mad as I thought I would be. I didn’t have any expectations, actually. That’s why I wasn’t super upset.”
